NYS Suspends League Operations!

CoronaVirus Update - March 19, 2020

To our NYS Family members and valued customers:

Across the state, the country and the globe, we are facing uncertainty and unforeseen challenges due to the rapid spread of the CoronaVirus. What remains clear, however, is that we are committed to doing what is best for the health and safety of our valued employees, coaches, parents, and players.  As we’ve seen, this is not a problem that can be solved by one person or group alone; it requires individuals, businesses, and governments each to take action.  Our programs require a lot of moving parts to work together (school districts, officials, manufacturers, liability insurance companies, and many more) and with the current situation, it is in our best interest to place a hold on ALL of our programs.  For these reasons, and the already paid out revenue for a season being wiped out by an unforeseen circumstance, we will be electronically reaching out to with each Spring participant currently enrolled to honor a full season of programming at the conclusion of the pandemic, with no expiration date, since many are season specific in relation to registering their children with our league.  More details of the process will be listed in the paragraphs below!

In order to do our part to slow the spread of this virus, we have decided to temporarily shut down all league operations effective immediately.  We will be doing a major website update over the next few days to assist with keeping communication available to all members.  All registration for current and future programming has been suspended until further notice.  For all current registered Spring participants, we will be sending out communication so that we can uphold your registration to utilize in the future, once we have weathered this storm!  Even with all the output that goes out to vendors, weeks prior to the start of a season, our owners have indicated that they will honor the full amount paid for registration by all members and will uphold a non-expiring credit to utilize at your convenience in the future, so that all children and families can experience a season without the need to stress about their physical well-being.  Everyone currently enrolled can be assured that they will be able to utilize their Spring registration for a future season of choice at the conclusion of the pandemic.  We will be addressing all currently enrolled participants separately so that we can keep our communication and assist with your registration individually!  We are also working on updating many new age divisions to extend the age ranges for some of those players that are in our highest age groups!

NYS has relieved all representatives of their duties and have placed a freeze on all league transactions. Our current league owners, Shawn and LisaAnn, will remain in contact via email and telephone during this time.   NYS has been in business for 20 plus years in the valley and have our members and future programming in our best interest.  We have experienced similar adversities in the past and know that working together, we will come out of this much stronger in every aspect!  All we ask is for everyone to focus on family and staying healthy, as NYS will be here after the pandemic to provide quality sports programs for our children to enjoy!

LisaAnn and Shawn will remain available via email at [email protected]com and via telephone at 602-884-7149.  We know that this is a complex and fast-moving situation. We are constantly monitoring to ensure we are taking the appropriate actions, and we will keep you updated as things continue to evolve!  Thank you for being a supportive member of National Youth Sports!
